High-power coaxial illumination for fast reflective-surface inspection
LXV-3COH provides two to three times the luminance of a normal coaxial light while maintaining high uniformity. It is intended for moving targets and short-exposure inspection of reflective metal, plastic and printed-circuit-board surfaces.

Metal or plastic scratches
Increase the visibility of shallow scratches on reflective surfaces.
Reflective indentations
Reveal dents and surface defects that need camera-axis illumination.
PCB characters and lines
Inspect printed characters and conductor-line detail.
Moving or strobed parts
Use the higher output when the camera requires a short exposure.
Measured optical behaviour, construction choices and verified inspection results
The LXV-3COH40-W reference combines the working-distance response with two 55 × 40 mm irradiance maps. Separate source objects then show the configurable housing, independent fan/light wiring, a same-environment output comparison and an edge-recognition result.
LXV-3COH40-W optical reference
Relative luminance is plotted from 0 to 300 mm working distance. The two relative-irradiance fields use a 55 × 40 mm field of view at LWD 60 mm and LWD 150 mm.
Configurable body and protected wiring
Viewport, housing length and width, combined light, colour or colour temperature, cable length and installation method can be configured. The covered wire jackets feed the fan and light independently.
Same-environment luminance comparison
The source compares a mobile charging-port surface character under LXV-3COH40-W and LXV-3COX40-W in the same test environment. The high-power model produces the brighter result and is specified for moving or strobe inspection.
Edge-recognition application
A camera views a pad shell through LXV-3COH40-W. The documented result strengthens the contour feature to make the edge legible.

Size the high-power coaxial field and controller together
Six 24 V rows span LXV-3COH30 through LXV-3COH100. Red and G/B/W loads differ on five rows, so field size, colour, power, mass and drawing number must stay attached to the chosen model.
- 1
Set field and exposure
Record camera field of view, target motion and required exposure time.
- 2
Choose emitting width
Select the 30, 40, 50, 60, 80 or 100 mm model that covers the inspected region.
- 3
Validate wavelength
Test R, G, B or 6600 K white; IR and UV are available by customisation.
- 4
Match controller and load
Use the exact colour-dependent power with a strobe, analog or digital controller.

Align the high-power optical path and preserve thermal clearance
The six source drawings retain the full product outlines, 500 mm lead position, emitting surfaces and 4-M3 depth 4.5 mounting callouts. Mechanical values below are re-expressed as HTML for direct comparison.
- 01
Use only the drawing and values for the selected 30–100 mm model.
- 02
Centre the camera and reflective target on the coaxial optical axis.
- 03
Keep fan openings and heat-transfer surfaces unobstructed.
- 04
Route the two covered leads separately and verify continuous or strobe thermal conditions.
