Square shadowless illumination for large fields, reflective parts and custom camera access
LXV-FDM combines high uniformity and high luminance with a large square emitting cavity. It is intended for broad reflective or uneven workpieces, can cover a large field of view with multiple cameras, and allows the centre viewport and housing layout to be customized.

Reflected surfaces
Use diffuse square illumination to reduce glare over a broad field.
Uneven surfaces
Maintain readable contrast across changing slopes and heights.
Rubber-ring surfaces
Inspect surface condition around circular rubber components.
Printed characters
Read characters and marks within a large, evenly illuminated field.
Working-distance behaviour, field uniformity and battery pole-ear imaging
The PDF documents the FDM11256-W luminance fall-off with working distance, a 75 × 62 mm relative-irradiance field at 250 mm, and a battery pole-ear example comparing a small centre opening with a viewport shaped to the workpiece.

Select the emitting field and camera viewport as one optical layout
The two standard rows have different emitting fields, power, mass, mechanical envelopes and common status. The centre opening shown in the imaging example is a customized integration feature and is not a reason to transfer dimensions between standard models.
The PDF lists 0–40 °C operation, 20–85% RH without condensation, a 50,000 h reference life at 50% of factory-default luminance, one year of free technical support, sample free-rent service, customizable UV or IR output, and two extension-cable choices: PVC for high flexibility, bend and heat resistance inside equipment, or a harder high-flex cable with stronger abrasion resistance for drag-chain production lines. Custom options include housing shape, viewport, combined light, colour or colour temperature, multi-area control, cable length and installation method.
- 1
Define field and target height
Record the complete reflective or uneven area and the required working distance.
- 2
Choose the standard envelope
Use FDM10090 or FDM11256 only with its own emitting field, power, weight and drawing.
- 3
Define camera access
Size the centre viewport for the lens or multi-camera arrangement so the housing does not enter the image.
- 4
Choose colour and controller
Match R, G, B or 6600 K white response and use the documented strobe, analog or digital controller options.

Install the exact two-model envelope and configure the viewport around the camera field
The complete source drawing is tightly bounded below. It preserves both housings, emitting surfaces, centre openings, M3 mounting details, 500 mm leads and every stated exterior dimension.
- 01
For LXV-FDM10090 use drawing 1, including its 132 × 145 mm outer plan, 90 × 100 mm emitting area and Ø30 centre opening.
- 02
For LXV-FDM11256 use drawing 2, including the 110 × 140 × 80 mm envelope, 56 × 68 mm emitting surface and documented viewport geometry.
- 03
Keep the camera sight line clear through the selected or customized centre opening.
- 04
Reserve access for the mounting holes, 500 mm cable and connector before fixing the enclosure.
