What inspection variables should be evaluated?

Sketch the camera, part and fixture light paths before choosing special geometries. Check interference between combined light sources.

What lighting geometry fits this inspection task?

Define the inspection field, part-height variation and lens position before choosing the emitting area and opening. Housing dimensions do not equal uniform illumination coverage. Changing distance also changes coverage and angle.

Check the centre, corners and boundaries using a representative sample, including permitted position variation. Record installation space, cooling clearance and service access. For large fields, compare bar combinations, area lights or separate views and judge contrast across the complete field.

Before choosing a configuration?

For selection, specify the field of view, smallest target feature, height variation, cycle time and installation space. Use the specific product page and drawing to verify electrical ratings, dimensions and compatibility.

Starting from access and geometry?

Describe the camera view, light-entry paths and fixture restrictions before requesting a special shape. A custom housing is only one part of the optical design. The emitting geometry and working distance must support the intended contrast.

Build a test arrangement that reproduces the restricted access. Check corners, recesses and height variation. Confirm mounting, cable exit and maintenance access before finalising the mechanical envelope.
