The machine vision inspection system uses a CCD camera to convert the target object into an image signal, which is then transmitted to a dedicated image processing system. Based on pixel distribution and information such as brightness and color, the signal is transformed into digital data. The image processing system performs various calculations on these signals to extract features of the target, such as area, quantity, position, and length. According to preset tolerances and other conditions, the system outputs results including dimensions, angles, counts, pass/fail status, presence/absence, and so on, thereby achieving automatic recognition functionality.
To adapt to today's rapidly evolving society, machine vision inspection technology has become indispensable. In environments unsuitable for human work, machine vision can replace humans. Categories of machine vision inspection technology:
1.Generally speaking, machine vision inspection technology can be classified according to its inspection functions as follows: positioning, defect detection, counting/missing detection, and dimension measurement.
2. Machine vision inspection technology can be classified according to the carrier of its device into: online inspection system and offline inspection system.
3. According to the type of detection technology, there are generally stereoscopic vision detection technology, blemish detection technology, size measurement technology, OCR technology, etc.
Machine vision inspection technology aims to eliminate defects, ambiguities, debris or depressions in products, ensuring the functionality and performance of the products. Therefore, it has been widely used in the detection of product defects and dimensional inspection in various industries. For example, a visual system can be used to inspect multiple items of products, use a visual system to detect defects or misaligned pins in electronic components, use a visual system to measure the shape or distinguish colors of injection mold components for checking incorrect installation, etc.
