U-shaped red backlight for three-edge contour inspection
LXV-BRM324220-R uses an optimised bottom LED array and special light-guide plate to form a uniform U-shaped backlight. The open side gives the fixture access needed to silhouette three edges of a part while keeping the documented 324 × 220 × 35 mm panel around the target.

Three-edge contour inspection
Place the part against the illuminated U so three outer edges appear as a high-contrast silhouette.
Open-side loading
Use the missing fourth side where a conveyor, nest, cable or protruding feature must enter the inspection area.
Profile measurement
Calibrate the camera against the illuminated plane before measuring edge position or part width.
Irregular-part access
Orient the opening toward the feature that cannot be enclosed by a conventional four-sided backlight.
How the optical structure solves the inspection problem
Review the product-specific optical behavior, confirmed values and technical graphics together before selecting the final configuration.
- Bottom LED array
- The emitters are distributed below the panel instead of appearing as direct point sources in the camera view.
- Special light-guide plate
- The guide plate redistributes the LED output into a more uniform transmitted field.
- U-shaped geometry
- Three illuminated sides surround the inspection region while one side remains open for access.
- Contour emphasis
- The bright field turns opaque part boundaries into dark silhouettes suitable for edge detection.
- Red output
- The documented R configuration should be checked against the camera response and target transmission.
Select from the actual optical, mechanical and electrical requirement
Do not select a custom light from appearance alone. Confirm target, contrast, field, interfaces and load together.
- 1
Map the three measured edges
Define exactly which part boundaries require transmitted contrast.
- 2
Confirm open-side access
Choose the U orientation around conveyors, nests and protrusions.
- 3
Fit the panel envelope
Reserve the complete 324 × 220 mm plan and 35 mm thickness.
- 4
Validate red contrast
Check camera sensitivity, target transmission and edge threshold under the red output.
- 5
Approve the final geometry
Confirm uniformity, field coverage and measurement repeatability on production samples.

Release the exact product drawing with the complete inspection station
Dimensions, openings, mounting, channels and thermal clearances belong to the selected product only.
- 01
Reserve the complete 324 × 220 × 35 mm body and keep all three illuminated sides unobstructed.
- 02
Orient the open side toward the loading path or feature that must remain accessible.
- 03
Place the target close enough to the emitting plane to control edge blur while preserving required mechanical clearance.
- 04
Use mounting-hole, cable and connector coordinates only from the exact LXV-BRM324220-R drawing; no independent detail drawing is present in the PDF.
- 05
Provide 24 V / 10.1 W capacity and verify controller, cable and connector ratings.
- 06
Calibrate edge thresholds and measurement scale, then validate uniformity and temperature at production duty.
