Replace an Older LuxMV Lighting Model

The public catalog does not list a discontinued LuxMV model or an end date. If a light already in a machine uses an older LuxMV code, send that code. LuxMV will identify whether a current series is a candidate. A similar name is not a drop-in replacement.

Selection considerations

Open the matching series, then send the part or the images.

What is not on this page?

There is no table of end dates, because the catalog data used for the public site has no discontinued flag and no final-ship date. Publishing a guessed date would be wrong. The useful record is the code on your label plus the current series that might be compared.

Which current series are the usual comparison points?

Start from the geometry the old light was doing, then open the current series. These links are comparison points, not approved substitutes.

Questions for the engineering discussion.

Which LuxMV models are discontinued, and on what date?

Send the code on the label. LuxMV names the current family and the drawing that matches that light.

What should I send if I have an older LuxMV model code?

Send the code printed on the light, a photo of the label and the connector, the supply voltage, the mounting space, and what the light is inspecting. LuxMV can then say whether a current series is a mechanical or optical candidate.

Is a current series with a similar name a drop-in replacement?

No. A similar name does not mean the same length, angle, connector, or controller. Compare the drawing and the inspection result before changing the bill of materials.
